Several key coordinators and assistants agreed to sign with LSU shortly after Kiffin defected from the Rebels, including offensive coordinator Weiss, tight ends coach/co-offensive coordinator Joe Cox and wide receivers coach/passing game coordinator George McDonald. Cox and McDonald are not expected to coach at Ole Miss on Thursday.
New Ole Miss head coach Pete Golding noted that it is unclear which coaches will be available this weekend.
“They have every opportunity, as they still have, to make that decision,” Golding said on Saturday. “So, week after week, I don’t dictate whether they do it or not, because I don’t hire them. This has been the case so far and I expected it.”

Ole Miss essentially prevented Kiffin from finishing the season with the team. However, LSU agreed to pay Kiffin bonuses for the College Football Playoff.
LSU reportedly targeted three key players – quarterback Trinidad Chambliss, running back Kevan Lacy and offensive tackle Lucas Carneiro – after the quarterfinal win over Ole Miss, but all three signed contracts to remain with the Rebels.
