Clay Gravesand and Ed Smith: split up
While Clay expressed hesitation about getting married due to his own views of his father's infidelity, A.D. assured him that they would win as a couple and everything seemed to be fine between them.
But one day, faced with the task of saying “I'm doing this forever” at the altar, Clay said that I Not instead, he told AD that it wouldn't be “responsible” for him to get married knowing he wasn't ready.
Signal for shock.
“I'm going to do all the work for you,” he told AD, “and we'll get through this together. I don't care what anyone says; I fully know that I'm not ready for marriage and you deserve the best. And if I'm not ready to give you 100 percent, I won't go there with you when I'm not ready… I can't say yes right now.”
It was a revelation that made A.D. declare through tears that the relationship was a waste of her “damn time.”
As for Clay, he also said that financial and emotional ties played a big role in his departure. “I looked at myself in the mirror and asked, ‘Am I a husband?’” he admitted, “and the answer was no. Am I deeply in love? The answer was no.”
During the reunion, Clay stated that he made a mistake and wanted to date AD, but she was non-committal about whether she would ever consider getting back together.
Ed admitted that she went on a couple of dates with her co-star Matthew Duliba after filming they wrapped up, but they were not together.
In May 2025, she announced that she was expecting her first child with her fiancé. Ollie Sutherland.
