Canadian singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Lorina McKennitt celebrates the 30th anniversary of his fifth studio album Mask and mirror on tour next fall, where she promises to perform the album in its entirety, as well as a set filled with “fan favorites,” throughout Eastern Canada.
First released in 1994, Mask and Mirrorr is widely known for its “cross-cultural fertilization” thanks to Celtic and Moroccan influences. “This album has been a historical and musical pilgrimage for me, and I am thrilled to bring this concert home,” McKennitt shared in a press release. “This is a landmark anniversary in my career and I look forward to celebrating with Canadian audiences, including Atlantic Canada, where we have not performed in ten years.”
The run will begin in October with dates across Atlantic Canada, eventually heading to Ontario and Quebec throughout the month. The tour will conclude with a concert at Massey Hall in Toronto on October 31st.
McKennitt will be joined on tour by fellow musicians Caroline Lavelle on cello, Brian Hughes on guitar, Hugh Marsh on violin, Dudley Phillips on bass and Robert Bryan on drums.
Tickets goes on sale this Friday (December 19th) at 10am local time. You can find the route below and head to Concert center for more Canadian tour announcements.
