LG Display is preparing a 39-inch curved ultra-wide monitor with a resolution of 5K2K (5120 x 2160 pixels), which puts it within the current 5K monitor variety.
At this size, the display offers an estimated pixel density of around 142 pixels per inch, which is close to the existing 31.5-inch screen. 4K monitors instead of introducing a clear jump in sharpness.
LG Display has confirmed that this is business monitor uses the Tandem WOLED architecture, formerly called the fourth generation Primary RGB Tandem.
Brightness Targets and Panel Technology
The display reaches a peak brightness level of up to 1500 nits with a low average picture level, bringing it closer to reference class models such as Apple Pro Display XDR.
The panel is expected to be DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified and will use a sub-pixel layout with RGB stripes, which impacts text rendering and color rendering on desktop displays.
LG Display hasn't officially revealed mechanical specs, but the presentation points to a smoother curvature than the 800R model used on earlier 34-inch and 39-inch ultra-wide panels.
Reducing the curve will impact the desk's ergonomics and viewing comfort, especially at this screen width, although LG Display has not confirmed the final radius.
The screen size places the device between existing ultra-wide productivity displays and larger immersive panels that favor curved over flat usability.
Along with the 39-inch 5K variant, LG Display is also citing a 27-inch UltraHD panel using the same WOLED technology, which is a first 4K record in this size.
The move follows market pressure from Samsung QD displayOLED alternatives that already occupy this segment.
LG Display hasn't revealed refresh rates or dual-mode capabilities for either panel, so the performance position remains unclear.
A short promotional video outlining LG Display's Tandem WOLED roadmap for 2026 showed these panels for the first time, with more details later confirmed to be added.
Although LG Display has not announced prices, comparisons with the current 5K and AppleThe reference 6K display suggests the final product is unlikely to reach the $5K price tag.
However, this estimate remains speculative until LG Display releases full specifications and commercial terms.
