Let the market decide

I believe the federal government should eliminate tariffs on electric vehicles from China. A friend who lives in High River and works in Calgary bought one thinking it would save her money. Over the course of a month, it cost her more than $600. A month later, she returned it to the dealership and bought something more practical. If you want to drive somewhere like Edmonton, you better be prepared to find a charging station along the way and add extra time to your trip—apparently, it takes about half an hour to fully charge the battery. God help you if you are delayed due to an accident or bad weather. You'll practically have to plug your car in every time you get home, even in the summer, or you risk running out of charge. Canadians are not stupid. It won't take long for them to realize how inefficient these cars are and not buy them. In the meantime, China will reduce tariffs on our pork and canola products, which will greatly help our farmers and, to a large extent, our economy. In short, electric cars don't make sense in this country. Let the market decide what cars people buy.

Israel didn't start it
As we hope to see the end of the war between Israel and Hamas and the return of the remaining Israeli hostages, let us not forget who started it. Hamas, the de facto leadership of Gaza, attacked Israel. If they had not done this, there would have been no war and thousands of lives would have been saved. Israel is not to blame here; they had no choice but to defend themselves and were forced to try to rid the world of the terrorist organization Hamas. During World War II, when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, they started a war with the United States that they failed to win and hundreds of thousands of lives were lost in the Pacific theater. When Hamas attacked Israel, they too started a war that they could not win, resulting in the deaths of thousands of Palestinians. Let's stop persecuting Israel for what any other country would do under the same circumstances.

History lesson
I would like people to understand their history! In 135 AD e. The Roman Emperor Hadrian changed the name of Judea to Syria Palestine because of his hatred of the indigenous people of this country, the Jews. There has never been any land or state in Palestinian history, so get this straight before you jump on the bandwagon and advocate for a two-state solution. Find out the truth before you open your mouth, and then you can speak. But hurry before historical facts are changed to suit today's agenda.
