Letters: No defense for the Rams, or Bill Plaschke’s prediction

Bill Plaschke has once again literally jinxed yet another Southern California sports team. his proclamatory questions about Rams:

Who will defeat them?

Who will stop the irresistible attack?

Who will score in a stubborn defense?

Who will outwit the coaching genius?

I have the answers and this is not just Seattle. It's their special teams, their defense and that's coach Sean McVay's calling on the game. Well, maybe the judges… but that's for another day.

Thanks again for the article on the poison pen, Bill.

Just four days after Bill Plaschke promised the Rams would win the Super Bowl, the team blew away and lost to the Seahawks. As my mother told me when I was a child: be honest, respect others and bet against Plaschke – you will win every time!

Can we stop praising the Rams now? They cannot attack anyone who passes the line of scrimmage. Coach Sean McVay and defensive coordinator Chris Shula found themselves in disarray when the Rams lost the game to the Seahawks and ended any chance of a long playoff run.

How many more times do we need to see Emmanuel Forbes hound a receiver over a failed coverage or missing an assignment and giving up a big play. The secondary is the weak link in the Rams defense and he is absolutely the broken link. Chris Shula, please put someone else here. Mascot Rampage would have been a better choice than Forbes.

Bill Plaschke writes about the Rams: “Who will score in a stubborn defense?” Maybe the Lions with 34 points?

Bill Plaschke's praise for the Rams is puzzling. During the game I watched, Detroit went through the Rams defense like Sherman through Georgia. At best it was park football. The first team to play the Rams defense like the Lions did and consistently move the ball on offense will win the Rams.

Just when the Rams thought they had solved their kicking problem, they lost another game on a missed field goal. After the game they must have been kicking themselves.

It looks like the Bills are going to win the Super Bowl because Plaschke wrote: “Bills? Never”.
