Les Maple Leafs se font huer et effectuent une remontée

The Maple Leafs scored four unanswered goals in the third period Monday night to come from behind and beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-3 in Toronto.

That gives the Leafs their fourth win in five games while the Penguins, who have lost three of their last four, are starting to look like the team most observers expected going into the season.

However, things started off strong for Sidney Crosby's team, which led 3-0 after 40 minutes thanks to a brace from rookie Ben Kindel and veteran Erik Karlsson's first goal of the season.

The Leafs, who had so far shown little enthusiasm, left the rink to the public's mercy.

This display of impatience apparently rattled Craig Berube's men, who recovered brilliantly in the final 20 minutes of the match.

So in quick succession, Auston Matthews, William Nylander (twice) and Bobby McMann (see main video) hit the target, turning the tide and ending the match to a standing ovation.

Anthony Stolarz made fewer than 34 saves in front of the Leafs cage. At the other end of the ice, Tristan Jarry gave up four turnovers on 20 shots.

End of challenge for the Blues

In St. Louis, a late goal from Pius Suter gave the Blues a 3-2 win over the Edmonton Oilers.

The win ends a seven-game losing streak for the Blues.

Young Dalibor Dvorski, meanwhile, scored his first winning goal in the NHL.

The Oilers' up-and-down season continues, with the team winning just two of their last six games.
