- Netflix Games announced the debut of Lego Party
- This happens simultaneously with the release of new television games.
- You'll still use your phone as a controller in this new Lego-themed party game.
Netflix Games Announces introduction of completely new TV controls and numerous ports that can be played via your phone and TV, you may not have noticed another big announcement: the Lego Party collection of four-player multiplayer mini-games is coming to Netflix Games!
In fact, there's not much that's unusual to say about Lego Party. Much like Mario Party, which at least inspired the title, you'll play various mini-games as you strive to defeat your friends by collecting as many gold bricks as possible.
What sets the Lego Party apart, of course, is the inclusion of Lego branding and themes, and the famous building bricks are one of Denmark's best-known cultural exports. You'll find classic sets and settings like Pirates, Space, and Ninjago. But there is no Bionicle, so why?
Brick by brick
Okay, okay, I'm kidding. Even if I never forgive the Hero Factory, even on my deathbed. But Lego Party is a worthy addition to the Netflix Games lineup. And along with the upcoming mobile port of Red Dead Redemption, which will also be available for free through their catalog, I think we'll see a real stress test of Netflix games.
While Netflix has shied away from having its own AAA studio, it has had a very decent slate of indie releases. But Lego Party and Red Dead are big family brands and beloved console classics, respectively. So is this the future of Netflix Games? We'll have to wait and see.
But for now, Netflix Games' main strength is its diverse catalog. So why not dig into our list best mobile games on Netflix to see which best results we have selected for you?
