$72 (was $90) | I'll retire soon
Released last summer to celebrate Minecraft's 15th anniversary, The Crafting Table pays homage to the essential building tool and a variety of popular biomes and characters. The outer walls at the top/bottom and on both sides match the appearance of the Workbench from the game. But what makes this display model especially interesting for fans is that it's also a diorama that does justice to the game itself.
The 1,195-piece model includes five small modular assemblies: “Taiga” with “Drip Cave”, “Ice Spikes” with “Igloo”, “Deep Darkness” with “Lush Cave”, “Cherry Grove” with “Abandoned Mine”, “Plains” with “Village”. Five builds feature a dozen Minecraft biomes. And because the diorama was designed to be modular, you can remove and move the five models to change the look.
The set also includes eight microfigures: Steve, Alex, Creeper, Villager, Pig, Cow, Skeleton and Witch. Characters can be displayed inside a diorama or on top of two posters on the front right/left. Includes six interchangeable faceplates with decal stickers: the Minecraft logo and five phrases.
The completed Crafting Table diorama measures 5.5 x 6 x 6 inches.
$32 (was $40)
Creeper launched in June exclusively at The Lego Store and Walmart, before arriving at other retailers in August. Outside of the Minecraft advent calendar, Creeper has been the most popular Lego set in the franchise over the past few months. It's easy to see why, as it recreates the franchise's most recognizable mascot at an affordable price.
The completed 665-piece model measures over 8 inches. You can move his head and legs, and his head has a compartment to store the included TNT block and Creeper figure; the latter is modeled after the original Mafia design. And yes, you remove the Creeper's face to access the storage compartment.
