- Leaked renders of the Google Pixel 10a show that it looks almost identical to the Pixel 9a.
- It may also have similar characteristics, but with a “boosted” chipset.
- The price may also remain the same
Until now we have heard little about Google There are rumors about the Pixel 10a, but the biggest leak has only just emerged as both renders and possible specs have now been released.
Android headers And @OnLeaks – a leader with an excellent track record – showed renders of a phone that looks very similar to Google Pixel 9abut apparently it's the Pixel 10a. It has the same oblong camera block, the same general shape, and the same port and button positions as its predecessor.
Unfortunately, that's not a good thing, as our Google Pixel 9a review describes the phone as “ugly as sin.” Of course, this is somewhat subjective, but it clearly lacks the distinct design of the main Pixel models.
The only visual aspect that looks like an upgrade is the bezels, with the Google Pixel 10a's bezels appearing smaller here. However, in post on X@OnLeaks stated that the phone's actual bezels will be slightly larger than those in the photo, so even those cannot be improved.
The Google Pixel 10a could also be slightly thicker than its predecessor, with dimensions rumored to be 153.9 x 72.9 x 9mm, and it could have a slightly smaller 6.2-inch screen (compared to the 6.3-inch Pixel 9a).
Apparently it will have the same Tensor G4 chipset as the Pixel 9a, albeit in a “boosted” version, which likely means higher clock speeds. The cameras are also expected to remain the same, with a 48MP wide camera, a 13MP ultra-wide camera, and a 13MP front-facing camera.
Small update
So, what's actually improved, other than the Pixel 10a possibly having a slight boost in performance? Well, this leak suggests that apparently the phone's slightly thicker design could accommodate a larger battery than the 5,100mAh cell in its predecessor, and an earlier leak suggests its screen could also get a little brighter, but that seems to be it.
The good news is that the Google Pixel 10a will likely cost no more than its predecessor, with a starting price of $499 for the 128GB model. However, it's unclear whether other storage capacities will be available or not, and prices for other regions have also not been revealed – although if they're the same as the Pixel 9a, you'll be looking at £499 / AU$849.
We should find out soon, as this leak suggests the phone will launch in early 2026. Although, if other details in this leak are correct, it may not be worth the wait.
