We have another long day of football ahead of us. Once again, the action starts a little earlier than usual with the Denver Broncos and New York Jets kicking off from London, which means we'll get some morning football combined with coffee.
From there things are only gaining momentum. Joe Flacco is ready to make his debut for the Cincinnati Bengals after being acquired in a trade with the Browns earlier this week. Meanwhile, Baltimore will hope to avoid a 1-5 start without Lamar Jackson (hamstring) and the Chiefs will try to get back to .500 when they host the Lions in prime time.

We skated with the Jaguars in week five, and in a week we're going to shut them down. While Jacksonville is currently one of the most surprising stories of the 2025 season with a 4-1 record, I still have a lot of questions about them, especially regarding Trevor Lawrence. He's 24th among the 33 quarterbacks who qualified this season in the EPA's QB rankings, and he did most of his damage Monday night with his legs. The passing did not leave much to be desired, except for a couple of late throws that helped avoid trouble. The Jaguars have one of the fastest offenses in the league. NFLbut it plays an important role for the Seahawks. Seattle is giving up 3.3 yards per carry this season, second-best in the NFL. If this continues and they shut down Jacksonville's running lanes, Lawrence's passing flaws could be exposed.
Also, let's not ignore the amazing season that Sam Darnold going for the Seahawks. Notably, his passer percentage and passer rating are even better than what he was last season with the Vikings. I think he will take Seattle to Duval County and come away with a complete victory.
Projected score: Seahawks 27, Jaguars 23
Choice: Seahawks -1.5

The Chiefs will likely realize this by the end of the regular season and look like Super Bowl a contender, but I don't see him now. They can't even compete with fringe playoff contenders, as their two wins this year have come against New York Giants and filled with trauma Baltimore Ravens squad. When games are close, they fall short, owning a 0-3 record in one-score games this season. Considering this spread sits at Chiefs -2.5, I think we'll see more of the same. I have a hard time imagining the current version of the Chiefs offense keeping up with the Lions, who are averaging 34.8 points per game (the most in the NFL). Dan Campbell's team enters Arrowhead Stadium with a 10-1 road record dating back to the start of last season. This could be another stellar performance from Detroit's defensive duo. David Montgomery And Jamir Gibbs when they take on a Chiefs defense that gives up 4.8 yards per carry (fifth in the NFL).
Projected score: Lions 30, Chiefs 23
Choice: Lions +2.5

Buffalo responded in its own way Patriots on Sunday night, turning the ball over three times and committing 11 penalties. I'm not sure this happens two weeks in a row. The Bills have also responded well to losses, as they are 4-1 both straight and against the spread in their last five games after a loss. Buffalo is still averaging 30.6 points per game and 395.8 yards per game this season, ranking third in the NFL. Even though he has top-tier weapons at his disposal, I still have doubts about Michael Penix Jr.. and his ability to go toe to toe with Josh Allen.
Projected score: Bills 33, Falcons 24
Choice: Accounts -4.5

I've had a blast getting to know Denver this offseason, so I'm glad they're finally starting to come into their own. They will look to keep the momentum going after their comeback with a win Eagles in week five, across the pond to London to take on the New York Jets. This should be a lopsided matchup as New York still won't win in 2025.
One of the most surprising elements of the Jets' poor start to the season is that they still haven't recorded a single turnover, which is sacrilege for an Aaron Glenn-led team. If this continues, BO Knicks and the Broncos offense should have no problem getting into the end zone at least three times. If they do this, it will almost automatically ensure their victory. In my career Justin Fields is 0-26 when his opponent scores 21 or more points. For reference, Denver averages 23.4 points per game.
Meanwhile, favorites with seven or more points always have an 8-2 record in international games, so that's another feather in our cap.
Projected score: Broncos 27, Jets 17
Choice: Broncos -7.5
We talk a lot about how Mike Tomlin never had a losing season as coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers. That's certainly impressive, but as we look at the upcoming matchup against the Cleveland Browns, we're highlighting another stat that's specific to Tomlin. The coach is 26-6 in his career against rookie quarterbacks. That's the second-best mark by a coach with at least 15 games played since 1970. History tells us he shouldn't have any problems diluting his points. Dillon Gabriel Efficiency in this game and Pittsburgh's 10 assists this season (second in the NFL) only emboldens us to score points here. Don't look now, but TJ Watt is also starting to hit his stride with three sacks in his last two games. This is even worse news for Gabriel.
Projected score: Steelers 24, Browns 16
Choice: Steelers -5.5
