Shamed former Harvard President Larry Summers honeymooned with his wife on Jeffrey Epstein's private island, according to a new report.

The report was released Thursday after Summers resigned from his teaching post at the Ivy League school on Wednesday following the release of emails last week saying he retained friendship with Epstein long after the billionaire financier pleaded guilty to forcing the prostitution of an underage girl in 2008.

Referring to publicly available flight logs, Harvard Crimson reported that Summers flew to the Caribbean island with his wife Eliza F. New by helicopter shortly after the couple married on Dec. 11, 2005, in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
“Mr. Summers and Ms. New honeymooned in St. John's and Jamaica in December 2005, well before Mr. Epstein was first arrested,” Summers' rep told the outlet, according to the report. New York Post.

“As part of this trip, they made a brief visit of less than a day to Mr. Epstein’s island.”
The visit came after police launched an investigation into Epstein.
Convicted trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell, an Epstein associate, was also on board the plane, records show.
Their visit to the island came six months after police in Palm Beach, Florida, began investigating Epstein for raping a 14-year-old girl.
Summers, a former US Treasury secretary, resigned from the board of OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT, on Wednesday as scrutiny of his ties to the disgraced financier intensified.
Summers' departure from OpenAl comes just two days after he announced he was withdrawing from all public engagements following the release of thousands of emails with Epstein.

Last week, the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee released more than 20,000 pages of documents from Epstein's estate, indicating a friendly relationship between Summers and the pedophile.
The emails showed the two men corresponded about, among other topics, a woman Summers was interested in.
