Large Lineman Goes Viral for Ridiculous Interception Return

Somewhere out there, John Madden is smiling.

The big man's touchdown unlike any other came during a high school football game in West Virginia on Friday.

The moment occurred in the second quarter of the Wheeling Park-John Marshall match. John Marshall was driving down the field and looked ready to score when suddenly Wheeling Park defensive lineman Akeem Davis intercepted the pass and ran toward the end zone.

His progress was greatly hampered as the 320-pound projectile soon became the target of every player on the John Marshall football team. However, as you will see, he could not be refused.

For a moment, it looked like Davis might not be able to get to his feet after a huge pileup of tacklers at the 45-yard line. However, in a display of raw determination that defied logic and, almost, science, Davies staggered before eventually running out and being tackled as he crossed the goal line.

The crazy viral moment even caught the attention of ESPN. College Game Day crew, who reacted with disbelief.

“Give him more ball,” ESPN broadcaster Pat McAfee said. “We're in a playoff season. Let's take him at guard.”

Wheeling Park defeated John Marshall 63-40.
