Lapistasia wish list right now
ExcelFish has announced the launch of the Steam store page for its debut game Lapistasia, marking a major milestone for the upcoming roguelike puzzle and deck building game. Inspired by success BalatroThe studio has introduced this page to give players an early look at the game's combination of accessible mechanics and strategic depth.
Lapistasia builds its experience around an evolving 8×8 block puzzle game that builds on the familiar grid-based titles and expands the formula with a wide variety of block types. Players use offensive blocks to deal heavy damage, utility blocks to restore health, and economy-oriented blocks to gain coins. The system becomes more complex as advanced blocks are superimposed on existing ones. Or they break the usual boundaries of the grid, creating space for multi-layered tactics and unexpected combinations.
Another central pillar of the game is its relics, which serve as catalysts for the growth of power. Each relic activates under certain conditions and often multiplies the effects of selected blocks, turning simple actions into dramatic blows. Some relics require minimal effort to trigger, while others take time. However, both ends of the spectrum can lead to meaningful breakthroughs.
ExcelFish describes Lapistasia as a roguelike that encourages experimentation. It promises to offer simple mechanics that unlock deeper strategies as players learn to combine blocks and relics effectively. A public demo will be released in February, and the studio is encouraging players to wishlist the game on Steam.
