In LAG KILLS you will find real horror and tension
Indie developer Deranged Games has teamed up with publisher Zemore Indie Gaming to announce LAG KILLS, a new single-player survival horror game currently in development for PC. There are plans to provide support for online cooperative play in the near future. Built on tension, stealth and split-second decision-making, the game throws players into situations where simple hacking turns into a terrifying fight for survival.
LAG KILLS follows a desperate protagonist whose life is turned upside down after a serious car accident leaves him drowning in medical debt. With few options left, he and his trusted friend decide to break into a house that looks abandoned, hoping to steal enough valuables to stay afloat. The plan quickly falls apart when it becomes clear that the house is not empty. The owner is still inside, watching, listening and hunting.
Players must carefully search rooms, hide in the shadows, and move quietly to avoid detection while searching for an exit. Survival depends on patience and awareness, as every noise or misstep can attract deadly attention. The game's AI behavior is unpredictable, so each encounter will never be repeated twice. This maintains tension and enhances the psychological design of the cat and mouse game.
You can enjoy the game alone, and soon there will be online co-op play where you and a friend will face the horror. According to individual developer Lee Burton, the idea came from a late-night gaming session filled with delays and frustrations that led to the unsettling thought that someone would break into his house at the worst possible moment. That spark was LAG KILLS, a deeply personal and unnerving horror game from Deranged Games.
