Krafton has launched a voluntary retirement program in an effort to become an “AI-first company.”
Last month, ahead of the report of a “record high aggregate” results in the financial report for the 3rd quarter of 2025publisher of Subnautica 2 and PUBG Krafton announced that it is positioning itself as an “artificial intelligence-focused company.”
The publisher said it will “prioritize artificial intelligence as a central and core enabler of problem solving” and “drive change in individuals and organizations, improve company-wide productivity and accelerate corporate value growth in the medium to long term.”
Today, effective yesterday, November 12, Krafton is inviting Korean employees to apply for a special severance package, which is expected to range from six to 36 months of salary, depending on grade and service.
According to Business Koreaas reported by MachineCrafton insists the reorganization will not result in staff reductions.
“The main goal is to support members in actively defining the direction of their growth and tackling new challenges both internally and externally in the era of artificial intelligence transformation,” a Krafton spokesperson told Business Korea.
“The company plans to support members in making their own decisions about whether to continue to change within the company or expand externally.”
