Ejae, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami went higher and higher in their golden moment on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

The trio who voiced the animated film “K-Pop Demon HuntersCentral girl group Huntr/x took to the late-night TV show Tuesday to perform the signature song from the Netflix film. This is the first time they've taken the stage together for a live, full-length performance of “Golden,” and even Fallon couldn't contain his excitement.

“Golden,” the first female K-pop song in Billboard Hot 100 history, helped propel the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack to a new award. During the performance, Fallon informed Ejaya, Noona and Ami that the record had gone platinum.

During their sit-down interview Along with Fallon, Nuna and Ami (Zoey's singing voice) recounted real-life encounters with “Golden” that demonstrated the magnitude of Impact of “KPop Demon Hunter”.

For Noona, it was during a trip to Korea when she saw an elderly street performer playing “Golden” on a traditional Korean instrument.

“I had to do a double take because in Korean culture, it's especially impressive if an older person is impressed with you,” said Noona, who explained that Korean elders rarely focus on achievements such as attending an Ivy League college or graduating at the top of their class. “It's really hard [to impress them]. They have high standards. So for the older generation to accept it is something different.”

Ami's meeting took place with a much younger fan. She remembered a trip to X March where she saw a boy singing “Golden” at the top of his lungs while holding hands with his mother.

“I think it’s one thing to hear our song on the radio, but to hear it live as a child?” – said Ami. “At H Mart, my favorite place?… I just cried at HMart

Meanwhile, Ejae told an anecdote that suggests Golden's success may have been preordained.

Prompted by Fallon, the “Golden” co-writer said she saw a brief glimpse of a “grunge ghost” while recording her part of the song in the studio.

He was a “tall dude in flannel… and blue jeans,” Ijae said. And this short meeting could turn out to be favorable.

“My mom reminded me later [that] there is a myth in korean music [business]“If you see a ghost or some paranormal activity while recording a song, it's a hit,” she said.
