Koodo adds 10GB more data to select Black Friday plans

Just a few days after We are launching our first Black Friday promotionsTelus-owned Koodo is already improving its offerings.

The wireless provider just increased the data capacity of some of its bring-your-own-phone (BYOP) plans by 10GB, making the deals more attractive. The provider's plans are as follows:

  • $40/50GB 5G (previously $40/40GB)
  • 50/70 GB 5G (previously 50/60 GB)
  • $75/100GB 5G (unchanged)

Prices above still include the $10/month discount for using automatic bank payments. Plus, all plans include unlimited calling across Canada and unlimited international texting, plus one free benefit.

Koodo plans for November 21, 2025

Koodo's selection of free perks may vary from plan to plan, but options include premium voicemail, data rollover, 5G speed boosts, three days of easy roaming in the US or abroad, and more.

The additional data makes these plans more compelling than before and puts them in line with, and in some cases better than, their competitors.

For example, Bell's Virgin Plus offers 50/50GB and 55/70GB plans. (including its own 10GB data bonus), making its plans more expensive than similar options from Koodo. Rogers' Fido also offers 50/50GB and 55/70GB options..

On the other hand, suppliers such as Freedom Mobile And Public mobile service owned by Telus there are cheaper options. The former has 39/60GB, 49/100GB and other variants using 5G and Canada/USA/Mexico. Public plans are similar, but typically cost $1 more per month and include less data.

However, for some people who may not live in an area where Freedom is available, Koodo's 40/50GB plan isn't a bad option. But we're hoping we see even better deals on Black Friday.
