Kim Kardashian Mini-Series, Produced by Ryan Murphy, Scores a Zero on Rotten Tomatoes: “Stiff and Affectless Without a Single Authentic Note”

Is it the end of Ryan Murphy?

The producer of many, er, wild series may have finally hit rock bottom with a new show called All's Fair.

So far, critics on Rotten Tomatoes have given it a zero.

Are we surprised? Kim Kardashian is a star. The Hollywood Reporter describes her as “stiff and unemotional, without a single genuine note.”

Kim plays the owner of an all-female law firm in Los Angeles.

Other lawyers include A-list actresses such as Glenn Close, Naomi Watts and Niecy Nash. Sarah Paulson, also a Murphy regular, is the actress who had to learn from Kardashian—in real life, during makeup—that the 1969 Apollo moonshot was a fake. Paulson's reaction was better than anything on the show.

But you can only hide the mess with so much gilding. Kardashian is not an actress, she's an ascendant celebrity whose entire career is built on trash.

So here it is.

For Hulu, “Everything Is Fair” is a serious drop in quality. They produce Emmy-nominated shows like “Only Murders in the Building” and “Bear.”

Hulu is part of Disney, as is FX, which usually airs Ryan Murphy shows. These include things like American Horror Story, which also makes do with a ridiculous premise and top-notch actors. Kardashian has already been in one of them.

The Times of London said: “She thinks it is a feminist fable about energetic lawyers taking revenge on the cruel rich, but in fact it is a tawdry and disgusting monument to the same greed, vanity and avarice that it is supposedly aimed at.”

British newspaper Daily Telegraph: “Ryan Murphy is the high priest of tawdry, tawdry television, and this year he has outdone himself with a mind-bending horror series that is sure to give nightmares to the unsuspecting viewer.”

I think you can only get away with this for a very long time.
