Kim Kardashian won't argue for now.
The reality TV star and billionaire entrepreneur revealed Saturday that she failed the California bar exam but vowed to keep studying until she passes.
“Well… I'm not a lawyer yet, I just play very well dressed on TV,” – Kardashian wrote on Instagram. “Six years into this legal journey and I'm still in business until I pass the exam. No shortcuts, no passing – just more studying and more determination.”
Kardashian, 45, said she came “so close” this time and called the result “fuel” for her next attempt. “I was so close to passing the exam, and this only motivated me even more. Let's go!”
Kardashian expressed hope for her prospects of passing the mandatory law exam during an October appearance on Britain's “The Graham Norton Show.” While promoting Ryan Murphy's All Fair, in which she plays a divorce lawyer, she said she was confident she would soon become a “qualified lawyer.”
Kardashian is trying to follow suit following in the footsteps of his father Robert Kardashian. The late lawyer who shared Kim, Khloe, Kourtney and Rob Jr. with Kris Jenner was famously part of the “dream team” that represented OJ Simpson during his 1995 murder trial. Simpson was accused of killing ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and friend Ron Goldman on June 12, 1994. He was acquitted.
IN Interview with Vogue, April 2019The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star and mother of four went public with her decision to study the law in the summer of 2018 after defending the case of former inmate Alice Marie Johnson, who was sentenced to life plus 25 years for a nonviolent drug offense. President Trump commuted Johnson's sentence in 2018 at the insistence of Kardashian and others and pardoned his great-grandmother two years later.
Over the years, Kardashian worked with lawyers Van Jones and Jessica Jackson, who sponsored her education. Instead of attending law school, Kardashian planned to attend a four-year law firm in San Francisco and then be admitted to the bar in 2022.
After delays caused by the COVID pandemic, Kardashian passed the baby bar exam in December 2021 after several attempts. In May she past a professional responsibility exam in several states that is required before a person attempts to take the bar exam in the United States.
Days before sharing her bar exam results, Kardashian said she used artificial intelligence to improve her law studies. “Do you consider ChatGPT your friend?” “Everything Is Fair” co-star Teyana Taylor asked the reality star during their Vanity Fair Appearance of a lie detector.
“I use it for legal advice. So when I need to know the answer to a question, I take a picture, take a picture and put it there,” Kardashian replied.
– So are you cheating? Taylor replied.
“They're always wrong. That's why I failed my tests.”
Although Kardashian's professional legal career has yet to begin in real life, she is currently portraying powerful lawyer on the small screen. In Murphy's All Fair, Kardashian plays the co-founder of a women's firm, with Sarah Paulson, Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash and Taylor as her cohorts.
