Fight for your freedom in CYBORG
CYBORGSobaka Studio's intense roguelike title launches today on Nintendo Switch, bringing the gritty world of cybernetic combat to a new arena. The game follows Morgan Lee, a resistance leader unjustly sentenced to 1,300 years on a notorious prison planet from which escape is nearly impossible. There is no parole, but there is one path to freedom. Morgan must survive Last Ticket, a wildly popular galactic game show in which prisoners have to fight their way to the top of a prison. Failure means death, but death only sends him back to his cell to start all over again.
In the game, players guide Morgan through brutal, fast-paced battles that reward precision and pacing. Combos land with a lot of weight, whether they're performed with heavy sledgehammers, melee firearms, or Morgan's own fists. Each weapon offers a different style, and each encounter pits Morgan against stronger enemies.
Progression deepens with cybernetic implants that transform Morgan into a customized fighter. Hundreds of attachments can be mixed, upgraded, and matched with weapons to create powerful builds. These systems allow for many unique combinations, encouraging experimentation as each failed attempt reveals new paths and benefits. Morgan's journey becomes a cycle of adaptation and resilience, bringing him closer to freedom with each attempt.
“Even though KIBORG launched on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S earlier this year, we couldn't let Morgan off the hook.” said Dmitry Kachkov, Head of Dog Studio. “We can't wait to see which CYBORG veterans and new prisoners will lead the way to freedom with today's launch of Nintendo Switch.
KIBORG is now available on Nintendo Switch for $24.99. It promises to offer a furious mix of action, progression and high-stakes combat in a world where every victory matters.
