KHSAA football playoff scores, Kentucky high school games tonight

Hayden Wynn and Devin Allen both had interceptions for touchdowns to lead the game. Manual High School Football Team to a 43-7 victory over the visitors Fern Creek on Friday in the first round of the Class 6A playoffs.

Wynn's 32-yard return gave Manual (9-2): took 4th place in class 6A — 14-0 lead at the 7:51 mark of the first quarter. Allen's 15-yard return made it 28-0 with 6:06 left in the second quarter.

Handy quarterback Kayden Mack passed for 65 yards and three touchdowns — two to Brayland Miles and one to Noah Price.

Jerian Traynor led Manual's rushing attack with 77 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries.

Manual will play Male next week in the second round of the playoffs. On October 31, the Crimsons beat the Bulldogs 52–13..

Fern Creek quarterback Javis Wallace passed for 150 yards, including a 69-yard touchdown pass. Jadyn Jackson in the third quarter. The Tigers finished 4–7.

Jackson Burke passed for 285 yards and five touchdowns to lead the host Centurions (11-0), ranked No. 1 in Class 3A, over the Titans (1-10).

Burke completed 16 of 17 passes and threw touchdowns to Jeffrey Vazzana (two), Gaines Howard, Stone Perkins and Jayden Leake. The top targets were Vazzana (five catches, 88 yards) and Perkins (four catches, 113 yards).

CAL's Tyree Stoner carried seven times for 90 yards and three touchdowns.

CAL will host the DeSales-Garrard County winner in a second-round playoff game next week.

Gage Miller's 18-yard field goal with one second left was the deciding factor as the Titans (8-3) won a shootout over the host Colonels (4-7).

Collins quarterback Cade Goodin completed 28 passes for 214 yards and four touchdowns and completed 25 of 44 passes for 321 yards and two scores.

Goodin's top targets were Avi Delaney (12 catches, 121 yards, two touchdowns) and Jason Ensis (nine catches, 132 yards).

Dixie Heights quarterback Mason Fields completed 20 of 30 passes for 410 yards and seven touchdowns. Nishawn Golsby had seven catches for 248 yards and three scores.

Collins won the total yards battle 598-541. The Titans will play at Woodford County next week in the second round of the Class 5A playoffs.

Keegan Maher threw for two touchdowns and gained 4,000 career yards, leading the host Jaguars (8-3), ranked second in Class 5A, over the Dragons (5-6).

Maher scored on runs of 12 and 1 yards.

Cooper defensive back Cam O'Hara, a Western Kentucky University commit, threw a 22-yard pass to Max Wethington and also scored on a 19-yard run.

South Oldham fullback Adrian Miles had a 1-yard touchdown run and also threw a 9-yard pass to Anthony Dixon.

Cooper will host Scott County next week in the second round of the playoffs.

Landon Brown, Jason Rabe and Jordan Pendleton rushed for touchdowns to lead the host Pioneers over the Colonels.

Simon Kenton also received a 65-yard pass from Grayson Harris to Forest Hughes.

Simon Kenton will travel to No. 1 Trinity next week for a Class 6A second-round playoff game.

Nash Meredith had a 1-yard touchdown run for Oldham County.

Thursday results

Zane Johnson threw three touchdown passes and rushed for a score in the first quarter to lead the scoring. Trinity High School Football Team to victory over visiting Great Pass in the first round of the Class 6A playoffs.

Johnson completed 5 of 6 passes for 67 yards and touchdowns to Jace Duvall (two) and Caleb Warner. Johnson also had a 49-yard touchdown run.

Backup cornerbacks Isaac Byers and Will Howard also had touchdown passes, both going to Evan Myers-Smith.

Ashton Taylor and Jamaurion Berry added touchdowns for the Shamrocks (9-2). ranked first in the state in Class 6A..

Trinity's defense had five interceptions, led by Allen Evans with two.

Trinity will host Simon Kenton in the second round of the play-offs.

Great Crossing finished 2-9.

Mason Trimble threw three touchdown passes as the host Tigers (8-3) built a 35-0 lead in the first quarter and outscored the Trojans (2-9).

Trimble threw touchdown passes of 45 and 19 yards to University of Louisville's Karsten Busch and 58 yards to Lucas Shelton. Trimble finished 6 of 7 for 171 yards.

U of L's Marlon Harbin had touchdown runs of 32 and 10 yards in the first quarter.

Cooper Yates and Brandon Mobley also scored touchdowns for the Tigers, who are ranked No. 3 in Class 6A.

St. H's hosts Bullitt East in the second round next week.

DiMetrius Taylor rushed for three touchdowns and Jarel Butler threw for a pair of touchdowns to lead the host Bulldogs (7-4) over the Raiders (4-7).

Butler threw scoring passes of 44 and 35 yards to Rakala Johnson.

Fairdale's defense posted its third straight shutout and fourth of the season.

Fairdale, riding a six-game winning streak, will host Butler next week in the second round of the Class 5A playoffs.

The host Bears (5-6) gained 341 yards to beat the Cougars (3-8) and record their fourth straight win.

Jayden James led the rushing attack with 134 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries. Kevin Blon (108 yards, two touchdowns) and James Cornish (99 yards, one touchdown) also had productive games.

Cornish added a 25-yard touchdown pass to Damarcus Watkins.

Butler will play at Fairdale next week in the second round of the Class 5A playoffs.

Bullitt Central's Kyler Crenshaw had six catches for 83 yards and three touchdowns (two rushing, one receiving).

Larron Westmoreland threw two touchdowns to lead the host Chargers (6-5) over the Redhawks (4-7) for their first playoff win since 2012.

J'town will play Atherton next week in the second round of the Class 5A playoffs.

The host Ravens (10-1), ranked sixth in Class 5A, beat the Eagles (3-8) for the eighth time this season.

Atherton's defense ranks first in the state in scoring, giving up 4.8 points per contest.

The host Vikings (9-2) posted their third straight game, beating the Wolverines (4-7) for their first playoff win since 2008.

Valley's nine wins are the most by the program since a 9-3 win in 2007.

Valley travels to Franklin County next week for the second round of the Class 4A playoffs.

Knox Barrett passed for 179 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Flyers (11-0) — ranked second in Class 4A — over the Wildcats (3-8).

Jacob Taylor was the top target with four catches for 73 yards and two touchdowns. Noah Coleman had a 27-yard touchdown run and returned the ball 25 yards for the score.

Isaiah Mashney threw two touchdowns and Jonathon Harper caught two touchdowns to lead the host Knights (9-2) over the Warriors (1-9).

Mashney rushed for 42 yards on two carries, and Harper caught two passes for 50 yards.

Lexington Catholic, ranked No. 4 in Class 3A, will host No. 10 Central next week in the second round of the playoffs.

Branson Williams threw a 24-yard touchdown pass to Bryson Nuckols on fourth down and then converted the two-point conversion with 19.2 seconds left as the host Falcons (8-3) — ranked 10th in Class 2A — rallied to beat the Lions (4-7).

Dubois led 28-14 with 7:03 remaining on Brian Dickerson's 39-yard pass to Kedrian Yarnell.

Dubois' Rashad High threw for two touchdowns and Yarnell returned an interception 80 yards for a touchdown.

Monroe County travels to Lexington Christian next week for a second-round playoff game.

Deion Davidson scored two touchdowns — one rushing, one receiving — as the host Bearcats (9-1) beat the Colonels (2-8).

Davidson rushed for 34 yards and also had a 5-yard touchdown. Tyler Wilson had a team-high 66-yard touchdown run and Caden Long threw a 49-yard pass to DJ Lawless.

KCD punter Pierce Bach made three tackles and returned the ball for a touchdown.

KCD, ranked No. 4 in Class A, will face Holy Cross next week in the second round of the playoffs.

Cavern's Tyson Martin had an 84-yard touchdown reception and also threw a touchdown pass.
