Keeley Hodgkinson capped her 800m season with victory at the Athlos women's meet in New York on Friday night.
Olympic champion who won bronze at the World Championships Last month she scored an impressive victory in one minute 56.53 seconds in her sixth race in a season marred by a hamstring injury.
Britain's and World Championships silver medalist Georgia Hunter Bell was second again in 1:58.33, with St Vincent's Shafika Maloney (1:58.57) third.
“I haven't raced much this season so it was probably easier for me to come out and want to give something,” said 23-year-old Hodgkinson.
“The atmosphere there is crazy, so it was really, really fun.”
The women's-only competition filled Icahn Stadium for the second year in a row, bringing a party atmosphere to the traditional circuit, with live music and Tiffany & Co. crowns replacing the traditional winners' medals.
23-time tennis champion Serena Williams, married to Atlos founder Alexis Ohanian, was on hand to present the winners with their crowns.
Last year's winners took home $60,000. (£44,603) – one of the largest prize money in athletics.
The event also attracted the attention of some of the sport's biggest names, with three-time Olympic champion and world record holder Faith Kipyegon of Kenya winning the mile, crossing the finish line in four hours and 17.78 minutes.
American Brittany Brown, last year's Paris Olympics 200m bronze medalist, won the 100m and 200m double.
