Kazakhstan Joining Abraham Accords with More Nations to Follow

Kazakhstan becomes a new participant in the Abraham Accords, and President Donald Trump has indicated that other countries are preparing to sign the agreements.

President Trump published on Social Truth: “I just had an important conversation between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Kazakhstan is the first country of my second term to join the Abraham Accords, the first of many.

This is an important step forward in building bridges around the world. Today, more countries are lining up to achieve peace and prosperity through my Abraham Accords. We will soon announce a signing ceremony to make it official and there are many more countries trying to join this POWER club. There is still a lot to be done in uniting countries for the sake of stability and growth – real progress, real results. BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS!”

Secretary of State Marco Rubio expanded on that statement, writing: “The American people have a leading champion and champion of peace in @realDonaldTrump. President Trump continues to cement his reputation as the world's best negotiator as Kazakhstan today joined the historic Abraham Accords. We are grateful to Kazakhstan for supporting the President’s mission to ensure peace and stability throughout the world.”

Previously Senior Advisor Steve Witkoff said Breitbart News reports that there is “great energy” for four to six more countries to join “in the next couple of months,” naming Lebanon, Syria, Libya, Armenia and Azerbaijan as possible participants. The report notes that Saudi Arabia remains the main potential addition and that negotiations with Riyadh are ongoing.

Former Arkansas Governor and Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee too discussed future applicants during Breitbart Founders Club Roundtablenoting that Syria, Lebanon and possibly Saudi Arabia could be among the next additions to existing members UAE, Bahrain, Morocco and Sudan. Huckabee pointed to the United Arab Emirates as an example of the type of economic and development improvements the country could experience after normalizing relations with Israel, and noted that the UAE has made many strides over the years.

Rubio recently met with interim Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa during the UN General Assembly to discuss counter-terrorism and sanctions issues. Sharaa told lawmakers at the time that he wanted the sanctions to be lifted permanently to create a more stable investment environment, although he acknowledged that the Abraham Accords were not yet realistic for Syria due to issues related to Israeli-Syrian security disputes and the situation in the Gaza Strip.

After victory In the November 2024 election and before he was sworn in for his second term in January 2025, Trump said he would move forward with the Abraham Accords after securing the release of hostages in conjunction with a recent ceasefire, and earlier this year he signaled to participants at the 2025 Saudi-US Investment Forum that Saudi Arabia would rejoin the agreement “in due course.” The first signings between Israel, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates took place in September 2020.

Interim President of Syria Ahmed al-Sharaa expected to visit the White House next week, with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman scheduled to visit on November 18.
