Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau have become Instagram officials after the singer posted a series of photos and videos from their trip to Japan.
In one picturePerry and Trudeau smile for a selfie, their faces touching. In another video, a couple tries sushi.
Neither Perry nor Trudeau have publicly commented on their relationship. But speculation has been growing for months now, with numerous photos of the two appearing together.
Trudeau was spotted at a Perry concert earlier this year, fueling romance rumors with the pop star.
Perry visited Japan as part of her global Lifetimes Tour.
The 41-year-old singer accompanied her Instagram carousel with the caption: “Tokyo times on tour and more.”
Earlier this week, Trudeau, 53, also posted a photo of the couple alongside former Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his wife Yuko.
I write in Xhe said: “Good to see you @kishida230. Katie and I were so glad to have the opportunity to sit with you and Yuko.
“Thank you, Fumio, for your friendship and your ongoing commitment to both the rules-based international order and a better future for all.”
The couple confirmed their relationship last month after they were photographed holding hands at an event in Paris.
Celebrity news website TMZ published photos and videos of the couple walking hand in hand before getting into a car. Trudeau was seen helping the singer into the back seat as photographers screamed.
The appearance in Paris coincided with Perry's 41st birthday and appeared to mark their first public appearance as a couple.
Perry and Trudeau did not immediately respond to the BBC's requests for comment.
During a recent tour of London, Perry appeared to hint at her marital status.
After a fan proposed to her from the audience during her performance, the singer joked: “I wish you had asked me 48 hours ago.” This comes just days after photos of her and Trudeau were first posted online.
Perry was previously in a long-term relationship with actor Orlando Bloom. The couple, who were together for ten years and had a daughter together, separated in the summer.
Trudeau, who served as Canada's prime minister from 2015 to 2025, was previously married to Sophie Gregoire for 18 years before the couple separated in the summer of 2023. They have three children.
