Kitchen finished my run Food Networkand the final original episode will air on Saturday, December 13th.
Taking to social media to mark the end of an era, co-hosts Kathie Lee, Sunny Anderson, Jeffrey Zakarian and Jeff Mauro shared their thoughts on the series finale.
“Last episode Kitchen @foodnetwork this morning! Thank you so much for 12 wonderful years and more than 500 episodes!!! I will miss our team dearly and am so grateful to all of you for allowing us to do what we have loved for so long. What an amazing trip!!!” Kathie Lee announced this on Instagram.
Sunny Anderson shared several posts, the first of which was about her time on the show.
“Is this the end? Or the beginning? This is how you should look at all changes in LIFE… because we are still living, it's not over until it's over,” Anderson wrote. “Still grateful!!! Today is the last episode!! 40 seasons in this game doesn't happen to many… you will never make me angry or upset about this win!!!! Today on #thekitchen…huevos rancheros in an edible container and I just booked a vacation with 80% points!? I'm unstoppable!!!”
In a second post, Anderson shared a photo of the Season 1 cast, which included Marcela Valladolid, and added the caption: “In 2013, a network will ask you to consider a show a year after canceling your first show in 10 seasons… that's important to consider.”
Jeff Mauro also took to social media to celebrate the end Kitchenposting on Instagram: “Well, as the kids say… it's OVER! Or not? Where will we all end up? Who the hell knows. GZ, KL, SA, AG and I have made a record amount of QUALITY informative, delicious and fun television with the best team imaginable @gardenslateproductions.”
Mauro continued, “I know this may be the end of the Kitchen, but I can PROMISE you all that this is just the beginning of my biggest chapter yet. Live multi-city tour this winter! Growing Youtube channel (click link in bio!) Cookware line, @mauroprovisions, @thejewelbags, family….sincerely grateful to @foodnetwork for trusting me/us to hold daytime for the last 12 years.” I will really miss this creation, show me…”
Geoffrey Zakarian responded to Mauro by saying, “This is the best eating experience of my life.”
