I keep wondering how many warnings this country needs before we wake up. How many terrorist attacks, near-terrorist attacks, press briefings, police shootings and startling revelations will it take for people to admit that the Biden years have been more than just sloppy; they were reckless. And the consequences are being felt right here in our communities, in real time.
In the wake of last Wednesday's terrorist attack in Washington, D.C., in which one National Guard member was killed and another was seriously wounded by the suspect, was identified As an Afghan citizen, White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt stood behind the podium Monday and read out a list that should have shocked the entire political class.
Instead, half the press took a sip of kombucha, shrugged, and pretended to read the Farmer's Almanac. But it wasn't the weather conditions that mattered. This was no small thing. It was a log of imported dangers. A paper trail of what happens when an administration puts political optics before national security.
“There was an Afghan national who was allowed into the country under the Biden administration as part of Operation Allies Welcome who shot and wounded two Fairfax, Virginia police officers during a routine traffic stop. He was killed by return fire after he said, and I quote, “I should have been in the military.” [expletive] Taliban.”
“The Biden administration has also granted legal status to two Afghan nationals who were arrested and charged for plotting a terrorist attack in Oklahoma shortly before Election Day in 2024. We all remember this. They owned hundreds of rounds of ammunition and pledged allegiance to ISIS.”
“There was also an Afghan national on the Terrorist Watch List who was detained by the Border Patrol in 2024 but was then released into our country by the Biden Administration!”

Let's start with the obvious: An Afghan man went through Operation Welcome Allies, shooting two Fairfax police officers during what was supposed to be a routine traffic stop. The man was stopped by return fire only after he stated that he was supposed to serve in the ranks of the Taliban. This is not a misunderstood refugee. This is someone who told us exactly who he was and exactly which side of history he preferred.

We then move on to two other Afghan citizens who have received legal status. Legal status. Not a single search at the border. Untagged profile. Legal status on Biden's team. And what did they do with this gracious gift from the most generous administration on earth? It's time for them to work planning a terrorist attack in Oklahoma right before the 2024 election. They pledged allegiance to ISIS and stockpiled hundreds of rounds of ammunition. You can thank Biden's immigration roulette wheel for this little blessing.
And if that's not enough, try this latest scenario: An Afghan national who was already on a terrorist watch list was detained by Border Patrol in 2024. It can be assumed that the next step will be handcuffs, a place of detention, a call to fight terrorism. Perhaps even one functioning brain cell would think so. But the Biden administration simply released it into the country.
Released. IN. . Country.
Some people receive parking tickets that haunt them longer than that person has been in custody.

The Biden White House called it compassion. They called it humanism. They called it moral leadership. I call this betrayal. Caroline Leavitt also called it a betrayal. And she's right. You are not protecting Americans by importing danger and hoping your arguments will hold when the bullets start flying.
The saddest thing is that none of this is shocking. We've lived through four years of Biden's border experiment. Four years of fantastic politics disguised as virtue. For four years, Democrats have insisted that anyone who questions open borders poses a real danger. Remember when we were told that it was xenophobic to ask whether people coming in were properly screened. Remember when they said the withdrawal from Afghanistan was successful. Remember this photo of Biden looking at his watch during the dignified transport of 13 fallen service members. It told us everything before we even had words for it.
The list Leavitt read is not the full story. This is evidence we cannot ignore. This is physical proof of what happens when the government decides that protecting feelings is more important than protecting people. The Biden administration has placed a bet on America's security. They lost. The country paid the price.
This betrayal must never happen again. The adults are back in the room and cleanup continues, but we need to speak loudly about the cost of Biden's negligence. If we remain silent, they will try to rewrite this too. They'll pretend it was an overreaction. They'll tell us that the guy on the terrorist list was probably misunderstood. They always do this.
But the receipts are no longer available. The damage is real. The Biden years brought threat after threat into our borders while everyone else was told to clap like trained seals and call it progress.
Never again. Not on our watch.
