We haven't heard much from Karine Jean-Pierre, the world's worst White House press secretary, since Donald Trump resumed office. While we all breathed a sigh of relief about this and enjoyed the much more competent (and, frankly, smart) Caroline Leavitt, it looked like KJP was going to change her voter registration to “Independent” and have someone write a book in her name.
Now she's promoting the book by criticizing Democrats. lamenting the treatment of the party about her former boss Joe Biden, whose mental and physical decline she fought tirelessly to hide.
Former Biden White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre blasted the Democratic Party in an excerpt from her new memoir, explaining why she decided to go independent after years of being a party critic.
In the excerpt, Jean-Pierre detailed the phone call during which then-President Joe Biden told the White House team he was dropping out of the race. Newsweek reports this..
He dropped out of the race (in fact, he was pressured to drop out) after a truly disastrous debate performance against Donald Trump. After that, neither KJP nor the entire Democratic/legacy media apparatus could hide Joe Biden's mental and physical deficiencies.
“Biden seemed completely at peace with his decision, but I was stunned, my feelings were fuzzy. I was angry and sad. I was angry and heartbroken that this man had given over 50 years of his life to serving the American people, and in the end he was mistreated by members of his own party. It was terrible,” Jean-Pierre wrote.
Let's be honest: Yes, Joe Biden spent 50 years in government, but he didn't care about serving the American people. He was concerned with self-promotion and self-enrichment, making deal after deal to enrich the Bidens, using his son Hunter to launder money from bribes from places like Ukraine and China. He won the 2020 election only because the Covid-19 snafu allowed the campaign to keep him isolated and tightly control his public appearances – along with some pre-election (let's say quietly) oddities in some key places.
So we had to face the worst president in American history – and KJP spent her entire term as press secretary covering for him until she couldn't anymore. And now she expects us to buy her book about all this?
In her new book, The Independent, Jean-Pierre said she never thought Biden would leave. Jean-Pierre has repeatedly advertised Biden's physical and mental vitality has been maintained over the years from her position behind the podium, but his cognitive decline has cost his party dearly.
Indeed, it cost his party dearly. If that's not the understatement of the week, it will be until something better comes along.

So, what happened to the book, almost certainly ghostwritten, and her new stance declaring her independence? Is she trying to make money? Or is she just another rat leaving a sinking ship? It could be both. It is doubtful that her book will sell well, but left-wing political books rarely sell. Given KJP's demonstrated work, the best use for her book is probably to place it on a chair at the dinner table so 6-year-old Tommy can more easily reach his plate.
However, when it comes to self-promotion, KJP has nothing against his former boss's former boss, Barack Obama, who (ghost) wrote two autobiographies before he turned 50. This is self-promotion. Better step up your game, KJP!
