Kai Trump opens up about performance in LPGA tour debut

Despite finishing last, the teenager still called the experience “pretty cool.”

“It was pretty cool because I know I shot deep, but to play against the best players in the world and be literally right there or even ahead of some holes, it was pretty nice,” she said. “Felt like my game was at a good level, especially being in high school.”

Tiger Woodswho is currently dating Kai Trump's mother, Vanessa, gave the teenager pre-tournament advice in the days leading up to it, she told reporters on Wednesday.

“I mean, he's the best golfer in the whole world. I would say so. And even a better person,” she said. “He told me to go out there and have fun and just go with the flow. Whatever happens, happens.”

Trump has built a following on social media, mostly through YouTube, and recently posted a video of her playing with her grandfather at Trump National Golf Club in Washington, D.C., and the two attending the Ryder Cup.

“I just don’t think he became president. I believe that he is my grandfather. We're going to go there and play golf,” Kai said in an interview. recent interview from Fox News Digital. “We play golf all the time. This is nothing new.”
