Jussie Smollett became the fourth celebrity eliminated from the series' fourth season. Special forces: the toughest test in the world during the Oct. 9 episode of the Fox reality series.
The Day 3 challenge saw the stars dropped into a simulated war zone and tasked with finding and extracting “fallen comrades” while navigating challenging terrain, overcoming obstacles and simulating explosions in the brutal heat of the Moroccan desert.
The physically demanding exercise has left many hopeful for season four, including Yes, judge, Kody Brown, Shawn Johnson and husband Andrew Eastamong others, completely exhausted and weakened after putting in so much effort on the intense obstacle course. However, Jussie was determined to succeed.
“My older sister told me, 'Jassie, you don't have to prove anything,' Empire alum reflected in confession. “But I do it. I want to show myself that I can do it.”
In addition to nearly vomiting during the training, Jussie developed a nasty cough that became stronger and more persistent even after the group returned to their base camp. And Jussie's colleagues noticed his new breathing problems.
