Former Miami Marlins executive David Samson said Thursday he would welcome a defamation lawsuit from Jordon Hudsongirlfriend of North Carolina Tar Heels football coach Bill Belichick.
Hudson threatened to sue the sport personality Pablo Torre for his reporting on her relationship with the North Carolina football program. Torre said in May that Hudson had been banned from football facilities, but the school denied this.

After the Tar Heels completed their home schedule, Hudson posted a photo on Instagram of herself holding her pass for the 2025 season. She captioned the photo: “PS I'm suing you (Pablo Torre).”
She also denied Torre's report that Hudson misrepresented her age in an internal university document. She wrote on X that this was “one of Torre's MANY inaccurate and defamatory posts.”
Samson, host of “Nothing Personal with David Samson” and co-host of “Pablo Torre Finds Out” appeared on “The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz” and briefly discussed the possibility of legal action.

“I really want her to sue Pablo,” Samson said. “Not because I want you (Dan Le Batard) to be a part of it, because of course Meadowlark will be named, most likely you will be named personally. Amin (Elhassan), you can call me, Jeremy (Tasha) should probably be called…
“Dan, I promise you that if she files a lawsuit, I will make it my second life's job to make sure all the attorneys' fees are paid by Bill Belichick, Number 1. Number 2, I will make sure that she is completely embarrassed, losing every motion, every defense. Forget about the lawsuit, which would be incredibly wonderful, this will never happen.
“Is the case slanderous? Is this the best she's come up with? No chance. It will never achieve anything. In fact, I want to disbar the attorney who will file the lawsuit on her behalf because it is so outrageous. But I just want her to keep trying because it gives Pablo more.”

Le Batard did not seem too happy to participate in the trial.
Torre said in “Offsides with Pablo Torre” that the university had nothing to do with Hudson's legal threats and Hudson had not yet filed a lawsuit.
