“Wicked” director Jon M. Chu's daughter made her red carpet debut.
The father of five walked the red carpet at the “Wicked: For Good” premiere in New York City on November 17 with his 1-year-old daughter Stevie Sky, wife Christine Hodge and four other children – Willow, Jonathan Heights, Ruby and Iggy – by his side.
For the outing, the couple dressed their daughters in the same look: a white coat and pink tulle dress, while their sons wore matching turquoise suits and black shirts.
Chu was photographed with Stevie at the event. He wore a gray wool suit and black scarf for the outing, while Hodge donned a black and white strapless dress.
The family outing comes a year after Chu skipped the Los Angeles premiere of Wicked to welcome Stevie into the world.
“That morning my wife said, 'My water broke.' I'm like, “We're going to the hospital,” he said. remembered TODAY in November 2024, sharing some details about his daughter.
“She's beautiful. She's alert,” he said. “I brought my wife home and then watched the premiere while the baby came out. The baby was born during the film's premiere, literally. This crosshair is crazy.”
Chu announced the birth of his daughter on Instagram last November — and in the same post, he had no intention of premiering “Wicked” in Los Angeles.

“I won’t be able to be at the Wicked Premiere with all of you tonight…” he shared. “Plans changed around 4am today… My wife and I will be welcoming our fifth child into our family instead, and no, we will not be calling her Galfaba.”
In his post, Chu urged fans to “send all the love to our insanely talented cast and crew tonight,” adding, “They deserve it and will welcome my little girl to burst her bubble and enter our world any moment.”
