John Carpenter Gets His Own Anthology TV Series │ Exclaim!

It's spooky season, so there's no better time for a horror maestro. John Carpenter announce their own anthology series.

The director signed a contract with Height photos for a horror anthology called John Carpenter Presents. Carpenter and his wife Sandy King Carpenter Company King of the Storm Productions serves as the series' executive producer, with Michael Amo and Will Pascoe serving as creators and showrunners, and the first season was based on a story by Amo and Pascoe.

According to a press release, the first season “is set in the remote Alaskan wilderness, where a diverse group of characters face a chilling mix of the supernatural and existential horror,” not unlike the events of 1982. Thing.

“We are thrilled to enter the television space with horror master John Carpenter,” said Cristina Piovesan of Elevation Pictures. “Will and Michael have a wealth of experience writing and producing shows, and we are thrilled that this creative team will bring the series to audiences.”

Carpenter hasn't directed a film since the 2010s. Wardand he hasn't written one since 2001 Ghosts of Mars (which he also directed). Since then, the 77-year-old has directed a couple of television series; it is unclear whether he will lead any of John Carpenter Presents.

Release date has not been confirmed.
