Joe Jonas talks about life after his divorce from Sophie Turner.
IN video interview with EsquireJonas talks about how he is coping two years after his broke up with the Game of Thrones starwith whom he has two children, Will, 5 years old, and Delphine, 3 years old..
“Divorce is hard,” he said alongside his brothers Nick Jonas and Kevin Jonas, who also participated in the interview. “It's not easy for anyone. People are so quick to make assumptions.”
“And I’m just grateful that I have these guys and great family and friends,” he added.
“People are going through so much, and the fact that I could go perform and make people feel something and maybe take their mind off what they're going through or their divorce for those two hours that they come to the concert gave me so much purpose. The fact that I could come out the other side two years later and be able to have a relationship with my other parent, Sophie, you realize that you do everything you do for your children.”
Jonas then spoke about his relationship with his brothers and said that he was grateful that he could count on their support.
“These guys support me,” he said. “Whether I wanted to talk about it or they knew I didn’t want to talk about it that day, they came to me pretty much.”
In 2023 Jonas filed for divorce from Turner after four years of marriage. They released a joint statement at the time, saying they had “mutually decided to amicably dissolve” their marriage.
Turner later spoke about their split in an October 2024 interview with the magazine. Harpers Bazaar and said their split was “incredibly sad”.
“We had a great relationship and it was hard,” she said.
Turner told the magazine that she was able to return to her native England after spending six years in the US with Jonas. In 2023, she and Jonas entered into a temporary custody agreement this allowed their daughters to travel to Britain to be with Turner.
Jonas and Turner now have a “great co-parenting relationship,” he shared. on the School of Greatness podcast in July. “This is really important to me,” he added.
“My babies have incredible women to look up to, including their mom.”
