According to the Mayo Clinic, cardiogenic shock is a life-threatening condition that occurs when the heart suddenly cannot pump enough blood to meet the body's needs.
The document states that Cleto was cremated, and the certificate states that he was an artist who had been making music for 40 years.
Escobedo was noticeably absent from “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” for several months after the illness – before Jimmy confirmed his death in an emotional tribute on Instagram.
Cleto and Jimmy have come a long way—they grew up together in Las Vegas, and when Kimmel got his late-night gig in 2003, he fought tooth and nail for Cleto to become the leader of Cleto and the Cletones, saying he didn't have better chemistry with anyone else.
Cleto was 59 years old.
