Jimmy Kimmel to Remain On-Air at ABC Through 2027: Report │ Exclaim!

After him head to head due to Donald Trump threatening his livelihood and job at ABC earlier this year, Jimmy Kimmel He has reportedly extended his contract with ABC until May 2027.

Reuters reports that a source familiar with the situation says Kimmel's late-night run has been confirmed for another year.

Kimmel returned to ABC after a week-long suspension in September. It was online removed the presenter from his duties following his comments about Charlie Kirk's death.

“MAGA Gang” [is] are desperately trying to characterize this kid who killed Charlie Kirk as someone other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points on it,” Kimmel said in his opening monologue on Sept. 15, adding of Trump’s reaction to Kirk’s death: “This is not the way a grown man mourns the murder of someone he calls a friend. This is how a four-year-old child mourns a goldfish.”

After Disney quickly pulled Kimmel off the air, Trump celebrated the move as “great news for America.”

Last month, Trump took to his Social Truth Network to once again complain about Kimmel's show, after which the host made a proposal to the president: “Mr. President, I admire your tenacity. If you're watching tonight, which I assume you are, how about this: I'll go when you leave, okay? We will be a team. Let's ride off into the sunset together like Butch Cassidy and the Tan Kid. Until then, if I may borrow a phrase from you: “Quiet, little pig.”
