Jim Harbaugh was asked about his Michigan football successor scandal on Friday and said he still hasn't even processed it.
Sherron Moore, Harbaugh's offensive coordinator before taking over as head coach after Harbaugh left Michigan in 2024 to take over the team. Los Angeles Chargerswas fired Wednesday and later arrested and charged with home invasion, stalking, breaking and entering.
During the Chargers' Friday press conference, Harbaugh was asked about his reaction to Moore's situation.

“Still processing it. Heard this. Chad Jessop, one of our equipment guys, told me as we walked off the field on Thursday. So… it's, uh… still processing it, as a lot of people are, I'm sure.”
Moore joined Harbaugh's staff as tight end coach in 2018 and promoted to offensive coordinator by 2023. That year, Moore also served as interim head coach while Harbaugh was suspended twice, leading Michigan to a 4–0 record in Harbaugh's absence. That same year, Michigan won the national championship over Washington.
Harbaugh left the program to return to the NFL, and Moore became the first black head coach in Michigan football history.
Moore is now unemployed and at the center of one of the biggest college sports scandals of the year.
After Moore was fired Wednesday, the university announced it had found compelling evidence of an “inappropriate relationship” with the employee. Moore was then detained by police Wednesday after his dismissal was announced.

Moore was charged Friday with stalking and home invasion. According to the prosecutor's office, he faces criminal charge third-degree home invasion and two misdemeanors of stalking and breaking and entering.
Both misdemeanor charges involve “domestic relations.”
Prosecutors accused Moore of contacting the employee through phone calls and text messages after the breakup, prompting the victim to contact the University of Michigan and cooperate in the investigation. Moore was subsequently fired as head football coach, which prosecutors say prompted him to show up at the woman's home.
Moore allegedly “barged” into the house, grabbed a butter knife and kitchen scissors and began threatening to kill himself. Prosecutors said Moore allegedly told the employee, “My blood is on your hands” and “You ruined my life.”
Prosecutors said Moore “terrorized” the employee and that they considered him a “risk to public safety.”

Francis Xavier “Biff” Poggi has been named interim head coach and will be on the sidelines when Michigan takes on Texas in the Citrus Bowl on Dec. 31.
Earlier this season, Poggi replaced Moore during Moore's suspension for recruiting violations.
