New York Jets have long been a laughing stock, but perhaps never more deservedly so than now.

Gang Green ended the season with another loss, but this time by a score of 35-8 at the hands of Gang Green. Buffalo Bills — there was a different kind of awkwardness.

The loss marked the first time an NFL team has lost five straight games by at least 23 points, a feat that hasn't happened in four games since 1972. Their point differential over this period is -134, which means they lost by an average of 26.8 points.

The loss was also the Jets' 14th of the season, a feat achieved only under Rich Kotite in 1995 and Adam Gase in 2020.

The exclamation point, however, was that the Jets finished the season without an interception, another brutal first in the NFL. Earlier this season, the San Francisco 49ers actually set an NFL record dating back to 2024 by going 15 consecutive games without a quarterback hit. But that streak eventually broke and the Jets took it to a whole new level.

Looking back at sports gambling controversies through 2025, investigations by the NBA and MLB are leading the way.

The nightmare is over for the Jets, who have been terrible under first-year head coach Aaron Glenn. Three different quarterbacks started for the Jets. Justin Fields was benched and Tyrod Taylor injured in his absence, prompting Brady Cook to step into the starting lineup late in the season.

At the trade deadline, the Jets sent Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams to the Capital Draft. Luckily those trades were with the Indianapolis Colts and Dallas Cowboysboth of whom missed the playoffs. So the picks they got (the Colts' first pick in 2026 and Dallas' second in 2026) aren't too bad. Additionally, the Jets now have the second pick in the draft.

However, general manager Darren Moogee must make the most of them and decide if Glenn is the guy to lead the Jets forward.
