After the game, Arniel explained that he was upset that the officials called DeMelo to check the back of Wild forward Joel Eriksson Ek when the Jets defenseman Josh Morrissey just a few minutes ago he was sent to the ice by a blow from behind.

“It was a terrible no-call on Josh Morrissey. An absolutely terrible no-call,” Arniel said. “It should have been announced. Head first into the board. And then a little tick-tock after that.”

Morrissey was hit by Eriksson Ek, prompting a retaliation from DeMelo.
