Jeff Daniels Sings Trump Protest Song About a ‘World Full of Hate’ Live on MSNBC

Actor Jeff Daniels sang a protest song during a live interview on MSNBC, criticizing President Donald Trump for creating a “world of hate.” Dumb and Dumber The star also put forward Democrats' views on the cost of living.

During an interview with left-leaning host Nicole Wallace, Daniels tried to position himself as a centrist who warns Trump voters that they're facing a reckoning because Trump is making things “cost more.”

The far-left actor titled his song “Mad World” and said the song was inspired by the extremist “No Kings” protests that swept across the country over the weekend.

Daniels said the song shows how he is “coping” with the Trump era.

Before breaking into song, Daniels said he believed the economy would sink Trump in the midterm elections. Daniels has been pursuing this line of attack for more than a year, arguing that the cost of living for Americans is too high and that voters will ultimately reject Republicans for this very reason.

“I think those who voted for him because they didn't like Kamala or didn't like the Democrats are paying attention to whether things cost more,” Daniels exclaimed. “That was one of his promises, like every president: 'I'm going to lower prices.' If he does, he'll be the hero of the midterm elections. If he doesn't do it, they'll notice.”

However, Daniels appears to be completely unaware of the very expenses he is complaining about. Not just inflation cooled well below the devastating highs of the Joe Biden years, but costs are otherwise falling as well. Total cost of a barrel of oil fell to about $60 a barrel for the first time in years, and the cost of a gallon of gasoline down resulting in less than $3.00. And this month Walmart announced that the cost of our annual Thanksgiving dinner deliveries is the lowest since 2022.

Daniels also told Wallace that he values his integrity, arguing that he is a Midwestern American who avoids the partisan divisions seen among “coast” residents.

But this is the same “decent” Jeff Daniels who, just a few months ago, bitterly said he hopes Trump voters are “losing a ton of money” by voting for Trump.

As other examples of his “decency” and “politeness,” Daniels last year insisted that white Americans are racist and need to be re-educated on this topic. And before that he stated Republicans are racist because they want “white minority rule” in America. And back in 2019 he wished for someone to “punch Donald Trump in the face.”
