The hockey world held its breath a few days ago when American defenseman Cole Hutson had to be evacuated on a stretcher after being hit in the head by a puck. The details of the incident are frightening.
Lane Hutson's younger brother was injured Saturday during a game against Switzerland at the World Junior Hockey Championships. The 19-year-old football player collapsed on the ice in the second period and had to be taken to the hospital.

“It was terrible. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. I was knocked out. And a few minutes later I woke up, unable to move. […] I was terrified and praying to get better,” the Washington Capitals prospect explained. on NHL.comTHURSDAY.
“I regained consciousness when I was evacuated [sur une civière]”,” Hutson added. “It felt like I lay in bed forever. I know it was probably two or three minutes, and [Cole Eiserman] told me to take his hand. I told him, “I can’t move my body.” So he grabbed my arm and I felt something, but I couldn’t move until I was evacuated.”
That same evening, the little defender was discharged from the hospital. He missed Team USA's next two games but could be available for Friday's quarterfinal matchup against Finland.
