The Cleveland Browns and Jacksonville Jaguars swapped quarterbacks.
The Jaguars sent Tyson Campbell to the Browns in exchange for Greg Newsome on Wednesday night, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter. As part of the deal, the two teams also traded late-round 2026 draft picks.

The Browns selected Newsome with the 26th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft out of Northwestern. He has 23 tackles and five pass breakups this season, good for fifth in the league. The 25-year-old is also playing on the fifth option of his rookie contract this fall and will be a free agent next summer.
Campbell is also in his fifth season in the league this fall, although he signed a four-year, $76.5 million extension ahead of the 2024 season. He has 34 tackles, six pass breakups and one forced fumble this season in Jacksonville.
Newsome will presumably join Jarrian Jones in the Jaguars' secondary once he is ready to start, although it is unclear whether he will be ready for the team's matchup with the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. He will also join former Colorado star Travis Hunter in the quarterback room. The Jaguars traded for Hunter in a deal with the Browns during the NFL Draft earlier this year.
