TOP MORNING
Red-Hot in RedState
The President should remember that Cuellar may only have common sense on one issue when it comes to open border policies, but he has never been a supporter of Trump or even America First. He is very much part of this radical leftist machine.
Hilarious: X gives the EU the perfect response to their fine
As we reported, the Trump administration criticized the fine and attempts to target “American technology platforms and the American people.” The days of censorship against Americans are over, Secretary of State Marco Rubio warned the EU.
Bessent sparks Minnesota cheating scandal, Omar gives bad answers to good questions
“When you come to this country, you have to learn which side of the road to drive on, you have to learn to stop at stop signs and you have to learn not to deceive the American people,” he said.
Trends in urban media
Teen provides Alabama gang members with 'teachable moment' about violating state gun laws
The Attorney General calls the Alabama Criminal Enterprise Act one of the most powerful tools in the country to reduce violent crime, and that may well be true. I'm just concerned that it could also be used as a tool to allow prosecutors to quickly resolve cases through plea bargains that may or may not be in the interests of justice or public safety.
Democrats don't care about saving Tom Homan's children from slavery and abuse.
Despite all the criticism, Tom Homan does his job and thereby saves children.
'Fourth Reich': Musk hits back at EU after X fine
The EU has become notorious for a war on free speech that has led to angry condemnations and backlash from President Donald Trump and his State Department.
Scott Bessent dropped one hell of a line during his appearance on Face the Nation
Prepare for war, because Bessent will impale you if you are not prepared.
Helpful advice for anyone who wants something to stop: NEVER TELL PEOPLE TO STOP. Especially Americans, because we'll just double down.
WHAT'S ABOUT QUALITY?
Today on Capitol Hill…
There is only one appointment scheduled for Monday as the critters return from the weekend:
- Senate, commerce, science and transport. Business meeting to consider the nominations of John DeLeeuw of Texas and Michael Graham of Virginia, both to serve as a member of the National Transportation Safety Board, Steven Haynes of Virginia to serve as Assistant Secretary of Commerce, Robert Harvey of Florida to serve as Federal Maritime Commissioner, Jared Isaacman of Pennsylvania to serve as Administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Richard Kloster of West Virginia to serve as a member of the Surface Transportation Board, and Admiral Kevin Landay to serve as Commandant. U.S. Coast Guard, and Ryan McCormack of Virginia will become undersecretary of transportation for policy.
There is one voice planned in the Senate on Monday also: a motion to remove Robert P. Chamberlin from his term as U.S. District Judge for the Northern District of Mississippi.
The House will return to the issue on Tuesday.
White House, what happened?
President Trump is scheduled to participate in a Cabinet roundtable on Monday at 2:00 pm ET. He will speak Tuesday in Mount Pocano, Pennsylvania.
Keep up with the Cabinet of Ministers
Admin. Environmental Protection Agency – Lee Zeldin – Zeldin confirmed that $30 billion has been saved so far under the Trump administration.
Biden's Environmental Protection Agency has been burning billions of tax dollars to pay off its friends. From day one, Trump's EPA has implemented a ZERO TOLERANCE policy for ALL waste and abuse, resulting in savings of $30 BILLION. pic.twitter.com/AOsZbyUbsm

Full court press…
Several decisions of the Court of Appeal are worth noting:
- ✅ Harris vs. Bessent/Wilcox vs. Trump (removal of independent agency executives) – D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals turns over district court decisions.
- ❌ State of Washington v. Department of Education (denial of federal grants) – 9th Circuit Court of Appeals DENIES administrator's request for administrative suspension. [Tuesday ruling — missed it earlier.]
And on Monday, the Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in a key case involving the heads of these independent agencies:
- Trump vs. Slaughter — The parties were asked to resolve the following two issues:
- Do the statutory protections of Federal Trade Commission members violate the separation of powers, and if so, “Executioner Humphrey v. USA”295 US 602 (1935), should be repealed.
- Whether a federal court can prevent a person's removal from public office either by equitable or statutory damages.
MORNING REFLECTIONS
If the word “cringe” was a thing from the 80s, it could definitely apply to the Genesis song. Illegal Alien. Technically, political correctness wasn't a thing yet, although it was on the horizon, and yes, Illegal Alien would have landed squarely in the “wrong” crosshairs.
But I was a sophomore in high school when the song was released, and rather than consider its political and philosophical implications, I simply recognized it as a somewhat catchy tune—so much so that my then-boyfriend and I changed the wording just to be silly. For some reason we thought it was funny to sing, “It's no fun… being a McChicken on a bun…”
Yeah. I never claimed it was intellectual. But, no matter how strange or inappropriate it may be, this song recently came back into my consciousness and prompted some additional thoughts:
Attention to others
It won't hurt anyone, it fits right into my plan.
Beyond the border lies the promised land
Where everything comes easy and you just lend a hand
I am not immune to the emotional turmoil of people seeking to improve their lives by emigrating – after all, that is how most of our ancestors got here. But there must be an appropriate process, not just a universal one. And I keep coming back to this idea: I would never in a million years have thought that it would be appropriate for me to emigrate to another country without being willing to follow their rules for doing so.
Why should it be any different for those coming to the US?
