Israel submits request to disqualify ICC prosecutor Khan, annul Netanyahu, Gallant arrest warrants

New information suggests ICC prosecutor Karim Khan used false accusations against Israel to dodge sexual assault charges.

Israel appealed to International Criminal Court (ICC) The Appeals Chamber will on Monday quash the arrest warrants against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, the Foreign Ministry confirmed.

In addition, Israel submitted a request to the ICC Appeals Chamber to disqualify the ICC prosecutor. Karim Khan from any participation in any cases against Israel.

The request comes amid reports that Khan was using false accusations against Israel in an attempt to divert attention from allegations of sexual harassment made against Khan by an employee he supervised.

State Israel believes Khan's actions caused irreparable damage.

The alleged sexual violence, including abuse of power, coercive sexual behavior and abuse of power, is alleged to have occurred during work trips, at Khan's office at the ICC and at his home.

Khan denies the accusations against him

Khan has repeatedly denied all abuse, and his lawyers have argued that Khan was “the target of an orchestrated campaign” to discredit him.
