Investigators say Fernandez hid the homeowner's decomposing body in her home for five days. This was reported by CNN Brazil.. To make matters worse, a law student and her mother are alleged to have killed four people in just five months.
“MANIPULATIVE”
“(Highly manipulative suspect) enjoys killing “And shows a lack of remorse,” police chief Halisson Ideao told reporters. “(She) wants to kill (and will) certainly try to kill others if she is released.”
One of the murder victims was the owner of the house of the alleged femme fatale, Marcelo Hari Fonseca. He is believed to have been stabbed to death during an altercation with a violent fox in January.

Police initially dropped the investigation, citing a lack of evidence. But pressure from the homeowner's distraught daughter sent homicide detectives back to the drawing board. That's when they linked Fernandes to several other unsolved murders.
LARVAES IN THE HOUSE
Cops say Fernandez confessed to the gruesome murders after her son began complaining about the stench and the house began to be infested with maggots. She allegedly covered the makeshift crypt with sheets to prevent her young son and niece from seeing her sick handiwork. But they smelled rotting corpses.
The killer explained that she burned the sofa on which she executed her landlord. She did this to get rid of the smell and “clean the room.”

Investigators have now linked Fernandes to at least three other murders that occurred between January and May. In these murders, rat poison was the conductor.
RAT POISON
Fernandez killed three others – Maria Aparecida Rodrigues, Haider Mhazres and Neil Correa da Silva – for financial gain and revenge, police allege. Detectives say she first tested her poisoning method on stray dogs, killing at least 10 people.
The police say:
— Fernandes moved into Fonseca's house, pretending to be a tenant, but four days later he was poisoned and his body was left to decompose.
– Then in April she met Maria Aparecida Rodriguez on a dating app. Rodriguez was eventually found dead after drinking coffee at Fernandes' home.
“She then tried to blame her ex-boyfriend, a military officer, by falsifying records and baking a supposedly poisoned cake.
According to police, Fernandez did not act alone. She was allegedly assisted by her twin sister Roberta Cristina Veloso Fernandez and friend Michelle Paiva da Silva, 43.
Fernandez's motives remain unclear, but police chief Halisson Ideao said: “Ana Paula enjoys killing. Her motivation doesn't really matter – she wants to kill.”
She is being held while tests on the exhumed bodies continue.
