Is Black Ops 7 releasing early? Here’s why people are buying into the odd rumor – Destructoid

Over the past few days, rumors have emerged about Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 the promotion of its launch was making the rounds all over social media for some reason.

Negotiations really gained momentum last weekend when Black Ops 6 The Chucky-themed event began seemingly out of nowhere and five days earlier than originally announced, leading some to believe that BO7 maybe keeping up with him when it comes to staying ahead of schedule. Most discussions suggest that it could now be released a week earlier on November 7th.

Over the past couple of days, I've reached out to a source close to Activision to quash the rumors and quell the debate. At first, I thought that the idea of abruptly delaying the launch date was a stupid and unfounded assumption based on BO6 content releases are coming earlier than planned, but right now I'm really not so sure.

My source told me that Activision does not want to comment on this story. And yes, I think it's weird, although “no comment” is often pretty standard fare. Why not? Why not just say unequivocally: “November 14th is the film’s release date.” Black Opera 7“Maybe the publisher likes the online discussion (they saw it), or maybe there is some truth to the rumors that this kind of thing is being discussed behind the scenes and the situation is fluid, as if they are trying to make it happen.

For now, BO7 comes out November 14th. Could things change at the last minute? Sure, but at this point the launch date has already been set, and there is likely something planned for that specific date that will also have to be pushed back to accommodate the changes. It's a lot of moving parts that seem like a logistical nightmare to change in a matter of weeks, so I don't think a date change is likely, but the publisher's refusal to confirm or deny anything makes me suspicious.

In previous years CoD released early access to the campaign mode as a selling point for pre-ordering the latest game. But for BO7, its campaign, multiplayer, and Zombies offerings have been delayed to the same release time as the originally announced date at the time of publication. And Treyarch confirmed this in the Twitter/X post below this afternoon.

Changing the release date this late in the game would be very strange. Many would welcome it, but others would reject it, just like many people who love CoD Plan your free time in advance for the launch of the game. For now, I would suggest sticking with November 14th as your “sick day” of the month.
