Irvine’s Summer Wilson captures Division 2 girls’ cross-country title

Irvine School's Summer Wilson gave one of her best performances at Southern Section Cross Country Championships on Saturday at Mount San Antonio College.

Duke-bound senior wins 2nd Division Individual Title on the wet course in 15:14.5, running away with the fastest girls time of the day. Claremont won the team title.

King's Maximo Zavaleta ran 13:59.0 to win the Division I boys individual title. Beckman won the tag team title.

In the women's division, Mira Costa won the team title, while Corona Santiago's Brailyn Combe ran 16:07 to win the individual title.

In Division II boys, Dos Pueblos edged out Hart in the team standings, while Woodbridge's Aidan Antonio ran 14:06.4 to win the individual title.

For Division III boys, Oliver Hunter of Dana Hills took the individual title in 14:20.7. West Torrance won the team title.

In Division III girls, El Toro won the team title, while Santa Margarita's Carol Dye ran 16:39.7 to win the individual race.

Jay Serra won the Division 4 boys title and Oaks Christian's Vin Krueger took the individual title in 14:18.6. JayCerra also won the girls title. Century's Montserrat Santillan Silva won in 16:43.3.

Viewpoint won the Division 5 girls title. Sophia Jo of Campbell Hall ran 17:43.7 to win the individual title. Viewpoint also won the Division 5 boys title with Viewpoint's Ollie O'Connor leading the way in 14:18.3.
