iOS 26: Your iPhone Will Get These Eight New Emoji Next Year

Apple released iOS 26 on September 15and while there were no new emojis in the update, the upcoming iOS 26 update will bring eight new emojis to your iPhone. Unicode Consortium approved eight emoticons in September as part of Unicode 17.0. It means iPhones And Android devices will receive these emoji sometime next spring.

Here are eight new emojis you can expect to see later this year and on your device next year.

  • Distorted face
  • Hairy creature (Sasquatch)
  • Fight with the cloud
  • Orca
  • Ballet dancers
  • landslide

“These new emojis have long-standing symbolic meaning, are visually distinctive and contain a variety of expressions,” the company said. Unicode Consortium wrote online in July.

These emoticons were suggested in November 2024and at the same time an emoji with an apple core was suggested. However, according to EmojipediaThe apple core emoji was withdrawn from consideration before Unicode could approve it.

In September 2024, the Unicode Consortium introduced new emoji, including face with bags under eyes And spray emoticons. Now you can find these emoticons on your Android And iPhone devices, as well as via the Internet.
