Occult secrets await in Inkblood
CRITICAL REFLEX and Hey Bird! have officially announced Inkblood, a new occult mystery adventure set in a world where strange forces are quietly destroying reality. Revealed at PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted, the game features a hand-drawn gothic setting filled with atmospheric puzzles and unsettling secrets.
In the game, players take on the role of an Inquisitor, tasked with confronting the growing corruption that has already claimed the career of the previous investigator. The realm falls into chaos as witchcraft spreads among its people and places. Every clue you uncover from the shadows brings you closer to understanding the threat growing beneath the surface.
Inkblood features ten individual cases that use escape room-style puzzles and thoughtful problem solving. The investigation centers around your carriage, which is a multi-level environment filled with hidden parts inside and out. Each case unfolds in a non-linear structure inspired by titles such as “Room”, “The Case of the Golden Idol” and “Strange Gardening”. This approach encourages careful observation and constant exploration as each mystery is solved.
The world of Inkblood has an eerie sense of familiarity mixed with a growing sense of unease. Each case solved reveals another piece of the truth, but the deeper story suggests that not every mystery wants to be solved.
