Kevin d'Entremont now heads Technation, OneEleven appoints Manny Kalia as managing director.
Technology advocacy organization Technation and innovation hub OneEleven in Toronto have new leaders after months of searching.
Technation named former McKinsey partner Kevin d'Entremont as its new president and CEO, and OneEleven named Ontario Center for Innovation (OCI) investment executive Manny Calia as its new managing director.
As a partner in McKinsey's public sector practice, d'Entremont led client development and facilitated strategic relationships at all levels of government, according to Technation. He also has experience leading business development in Accenture's Canadian federal practice and has held other government positions throughout his life.
At Technation, d'Entremont will take over from former President and CEO Angela Mondoux for six months. resigned. Mondu worked in this role for six years and under her leadership created Technation. renamed from the Information Technology Association of Canada (ITAC) and shifted the association's focus from traditional IT to the broader Canadian technology sector.
Technation national board chairman Lloyd Switzer said in a statement that d'Entremont has a “deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities” facing Canada's tech sector. The industry group said it will use d'Entremont's expertise to spur technology adoption in Canada's public and private sectors.
“I am honored to step into the role of CEO at such an important time for Canada and our members,” d’Entremont said in a statement, adding that Technation “has an opportunity to build on its legacy as a trusted and influential voice for Canada’s technology ecosystem.”

Meanwhile, OneEleven announced in Post on LinkedIn Last week, Manny Kalia took over the leadership of the innovation center, four months after departure former managing director Chris Greenfield. Kalia is from OCI, Part The provincial Ministry of Economic Development owns OneEleven.
OneEleven said Kalia is building strategic relationships with investors, founders and ecosystem stakeholders across Ontario while managing a portfolio of more than 250 businesses as OCI's investment leader.
Greenfield joined OneEleven in February 2024 after a 10-month search to replace former managing director Matthew Lombardi. He left a little over a year later, in June. When contacted by BetaKit at the time, neither OCI nor Greenfield specified the reason for his departure, but Greenfield said the “visions just didn't line up.”
